Migrating your site to V2

22Slides V2 is a completely separate platform than V1, and while we can copy the majority of your content to a V2 website for you (saving you the work of having to re-catalog and re-upload your content), it's not possible to move some things like your site's design, its layout, and some legacy features. You'll need to customize things after the initial migration.

The migration process

1. Email us at support@22slides.com and ask us to migrate your content for you.
2. We'll respond within a day or two with login credentials for your new account.
3. You'll then need to sign in and customize your site's design to your liking.
4. Once it's ready to go, you'll need to update your domain name's DNS records to point to the new website. Instructions for updating your domain name
5. After that's all done, you'll sign into your V1 account and close it.

What can be migrated?

• Image gallery pages
• Text pages
• Images
• Home page slideshows
• Navigation

What can't be migrated?

• Overall website design
• Text blurbs inside image galleries
• Tumblr blogs
• Instagram feed pages
• Flickr archive pages
• Flickr photostream pages
• Random collage pages
• Images uploaded to text pages
• Custom code
• Images uploaded prior to 2013--these may display at an incorrect size and need to be uploaded again.

What about my existing website?

Your content is only copied to the V2 platform, and your existing website isn't affected in any way.

If you decide you like your existing website better, simply continue to use it and let your V2 trial account expire.

If you decide to use the V2 account instead, you'll need to login to your V1 account and close it before you're billed twice.
