How to setup a domain name
Settings
page of your site's admin area, or from one of the many great domain registrars out there.
Step One - Setting Up your DNS Records
From your domain host's website, you'll need to setup two "DNS records":
Host | Type | Points To |
---|---|---|
@ | A | 143.198.247.24 |
www | CNAME | domain.22slides.site |
You do not need to replace "domain" with your actual subdomain. Enter "domain.22slides.site" into your settings with no changes.
Erase or overwrite any duplicate records. Your domain shouldn't have multiple "A" records pointing to "@" or "CNAME" records pointing to "www".
Step Two - Adding your Domain to 22Slides
From the admin area for your website, click Settings
, then click on your *.22slides.com subdomain next to the "Domain" label.
Enter your custom domain name in the blank and click the submit button.
Step Three - Wait
These changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to 12 hours to update, so don't worry if your domain doesn't start working immediately.
